Not only the terminal building, but also the transfer channel of Hongqiao Railway Station can be reached within a 5-minute walk. Taking the high-speed rail to Suzhou and Hangzhou saves half an hour of commuting time compared to departing from the city center, and the efficiency of cross city business trips is directly maximized.
The convenience level around the hotel far exceeds expectations. It takes only 10 minutes to walk to the Hongqiao Tiandi business district, where chain restaurants, internet famous cafes, and 24-hour convenience stores are fully equipped. In the evening after finishing my work, I strolled directly into the commercial district along the corridor, had a steaming hot meal of local cuisine, and also strolled through the newly opened cultural and creative store on the way, without having to take a taxi for a long journey. If you want to visit a bigger shopping mall, you can take the subway for 2 stops to Longhu Hongqiao Tianjie, where you can find everything from chain brands to specialty snacks. Even if you stay in a hotel for three or four days and change to a different restaurant every day, you won't have to repeat the experience.
If you want to find a quiet place to take a walk, you can take a taxi for 10 minutes to Hongqiao Central Garden. When you walk along the trail in the evening, you can see nearby residents flying kites with their children. The wind is full of the smell of wutong trees, and the tightness of the journey will soon disappear. If you want to check in to Shanghai's internet famous landmarks, take Line 2 from Hongqiao Metro Station near the hotel. It takes only 20 minutes to reach People's Square and 30 minutes to reach Nanjing East Road directly. What surprised me the most was that even if I landed late at night, the surroundings were never deserted. After I checked in at 1 a.m., I went downstairs for two steps to have a 24-hour Congee shop. I ordered a bowl of hot Congee to warm my stomach. I didn't need to eat the dry food with me.
